Our Mentee Program

I Love Me is structured to expose the mentees to a wealth of experiences.
Group meetings with mentors and mentees are held the 3rd Monday of each month. The program will run in 1-year cycles. This will allow mentors and mentees to develop meaningful relationships.  During such time, new mentors and mentees can join the program.

We develop and enhance education, community, leadership, confidence, teamwork and creativity.

To achieve our mission we have identified some key areas that we will focus on. These key areas are the foundation for the personal development of the participants and how we will structure activities and discussions. We invite key speakers from our community to our monthly meetings to share and speak on various topics.

Here are a few:

♦ The importance of loving yourself

♦ Basic Life Skills

♦ Learning from your mistakes

♦ Education and Career choices

♦ Financial Literacy

♦ Community involvement and the importance of giving back

♦ Prioritizing

♦ Women in Science, Engineering, and Technology

♦ Dating and dining etiquette

♦ Current events and so much more

We also incorporate fun and educational trips and activities throughout the year to expose the mentees to opportunities that will broaden their horizons and get to know each other.

TESTIMONIES

I like the flexibility of I Love Me.  Everyone has busy schedule however the leader does a good job of catering to all people so that not only the mentees benefit but the mentors as well.  It is definitely rewarding.

The I Love Me Mentoring program is the greatest thing that happened to me because it has taught me so much it showed me how life is outside of school, what should my top priorities be, and most of all to love myself. I am grateful that I joined the I Love Me program.

I feel that the I Love Me Program does a good job of catering to the mentees and their request providing them with knowledge and experiences that they will be able to use in the real world.
